Formed in 1997, as a 3 piece, they released their first album titled "Time
Is Cool" a year later on their own label "Swept Records". The band
immedietly embarked on a U.S West-Coast tour and, soon after, the album was
then available in the U.S as well.
The next two years the band released a 7inch as well as their 2nd album
titled "Again & Again" both once again on their own "Swept Records" label.
The year 2000 also saw them add Etsushi as a second guitarist to the band
giving them an added dimension to their live show as well as expanding their
song writing capabilities.
In 2001, they contributed a track to the "ALL" tribute album, "It's gonna be
ALLright". Joining the Pizza Of Death line-up in 2002, they then released
their 3rd full length effort titled "Water Closet Music" on the Pizza Of
Death label.
Their latest release to date is a 2004 split effort with the REIGSTRATORS,
once again on the Pizza Of Death label.
WATER CLOSET is a band which has a certain "what POP sound shoud be" flavor
to them. Catchy, upbeat, garage style melodic punk rock. Not simple, wimpy
or watered down, but also not complicated or over produced.
WATER CLOSET and REGISTRATORS are definetly pioneers to their own unique
style and sound. Punk is a lifestyle and an attitude, not just an elitist
butt-head in a studded leather jacket!
